Behavior matters most.
We practice public relations as an evolving social science. That means we draw from the behavioral, communication and evaluation fields. While increasing awareness is a great first step, ultimately we want our stakeholders to do something. Whether it’s voting for (or against) an issue, volunteering for a cause or simply becoming a brand ambassador, we are trying to motivate and shape behaviors.
Relationships are key.
Public relations should be about building relationships. Relationships are best built through the use of authentic, transparent, regular communication.
Learning is crucial to growth.
Continuous learning benefits ourselves and our clients. It keeps us current on the newest trends, theories and techniques, which in turn lets us offer the best possible counsel to our clients. That’s why we make a point to attend multiple professional development opportunities every year.
In 2010, we’ve attended:
- Ragan Communications’ Social Media Conference
- National School Public Relations Annual Seminar
- Minnesota Evaluation Studies Institute
- IABC Minnesota Spring Conference
- MinnSPRA Spring Conference
Giving back feels good.
We feel a strong sense of responsibility to our local communities. We volunteer on a variety of public service projects, providing strategic counsel as well as hands on, tactical support.
